Senior consultant VAT & real property transfer tax
Peter de Kock has over 25 years of experience as a consultant in the area of VAT & real property transfer tax. Peter has (very) extensive experience with the international VAT aspects involved in the import & export of goods and in intra-Community transactions in general (both intra-Community trade within the EU and import & export with countries outside the EU). His activities include advising foreign companies on the use of a tax representative for VAT in the Netherlands. Peter also provides advice – as a “generalist” – on the many VAT questions that can arise in both the commercial and non-commercial sector.
Peter was born in 1957 and started his working life as a VAT and Customs Inspector (1984-1990). After this, he worked as a specialist in indirect taxes at the firm Loyens & Volkmaars, now: Loyens Loeff (1990-1998). He then joined KPMG Meijburg & Co., again working as a specialist in indirect taxes (1998-2005, from 2000 as managing director). Since 2005 Peter has worked at DHK, as an independent VAT consultant and one of the co-founders.
Peter is a native speaker of Dutch, is fluent in English and has a good command of German. He graduated at Erasmus University Rotterdam in Dutch Law, and at the University of Leiden in Tax Law.
